Beeryard makes for a pretty good summer hangout for you and your friends. Pick a spot outside around the pool and enjoy all of summer’s trappings; sunshine, friendship, craft beer (try the tasting board) and obviously a good old burger and chips. On Monday’s Beeryard has a burger special, R50 a burger all day till late. We all know how expensive the festive season can get, so be sure to capitalise on this offer.

Frederick and Son

Frederick & Son first crept into our hearts when they started popping up at the Valley Market. They have since opened up a store in the Baakens Valley, so we no longer have to wait elongated periods of time to sate our craving for a Frederick & Son burger. Pop past on Wednesday evenings and enjoy their two for one burger special. A night of fun awaits you.

Savages

Savages Fine Food PE are very well known for their delicious breakfasts, but did you know they serve up a mean burger too? Couple that with one of their famous milkshakes in amidst their picture perfect garden. It’s very evident just why Savages Fine Food PE makes for a definite summer sensation on your itinerary.

What is summer on the coast without the beach? Something Good ticks all the boxes. Close to the beach, delicious burgers, milkshakes and ice creams. It makes for the perfect addition to a family day at the beach this festive season.

RocoMamas

Roco Mamas is unlike the other restaurants on this list as it isn’t a proud Nelson Mandela Bay brand. They have stores nationally, but the novelty of creating your own burger and enjoying one of their highly recommended freak shakes this summer gets it a spot on the list.

For more scrumptious foodie friendly ideas have a look at all the things to do and see in and around the Bay or pick up a Nelson Mandela Bay Pass Card and treat yourself and your loved ones to a Port Elizabeth Beer Tour or a gourmet picnic at Thunzi Bush Lodge, but if you have a pass, why not do both.
